The week before last, I took a week off from work to go home to Texas and just get away from life for a little bit. Everyone deserves to have a break right? One of my best friends from High School was proposed to, which was super exciting! Her fiance contacted me months before to see if I would be able to fly down to be there for it. It turned out great! She cried, we drank and it was good.
My mom has these plants in her flower bed that attract butterflies like no other. Almost every time we would come home we would see at least a couple of them fluttering around. I managed to not scare this big, beautiful butterfly away when I got out of the car and grabbed my camera from inside. While I was taking photos of this orange beauty, a lizard jumped out of nowhere trying to eat it! I wish I could have gotten a photo of that green guy in the air going after the butterfly.
This photo was right after he jumped for the butterfly, he is so well hidden I couldn’t really see him at first. Can you spot him? I’ll give you a hint, he is in the center of the photo.
Here is another one, not as hidden as the last one. He was so cute, I wish I could have caught him! Not that I would have been able to bring him back to Arizona with me, but it would have been fun, haha.
As much as I enjoyed seeing all of the people I love, I am so happy to be back in Arizona. My outdoor allergies are much more bearable out here in the desert. Mainly because not much can grow, but I still love it.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out what I did on my little vacation back home in Texas.
