Welcome to our first Nailed It or Failed It post! These posts will be about us finding things on Pinterest and trying them out. We will let you know if we nailed it right on the head, or if we completely messed it up. If we don’t get it on the first try, we will try to figure out how to make it work. Tips and tricks, I guess you could say.

Here is how mine ended up looking like.
It turned out pretty good. My layers are a little shorter on top so it didn’t go as smoothly as theirs did. Over all I liked it. I had to use a decorative bobby pin at the top, a large part kept falling down so I stuck it in the middle of it to keep if from falling. It wasn’t time consuming and lasted all day at work.
The front short layers and bangs didn’t make it into the bun (they fell out). I took that opportunity and curled them with my curling wand, which I think worked out pretty well. I think I nailed it.
Let us know if you try it out, and let us know what you think?
What worked and what didn’t?
If you worked up the courage to buy that pretty little sponge and learned how to use it but don’t know how to clean it, look no further. All you need is some water, Dawn dish soap, a bowl and a microwave. Super simple and easy. Depending on how dirty it is, it won’t take very long either.
Start with your dirty blender. I used mine for about a month so the bottom was pretty caked with make up, but there wasn’t too much on the tip. Put some Dawn in the bowl, I used about a nickle sized amount.
I ended up having to add more as I was cleaning but it was a good start. Add some warm water and let it get all sudsy.
Once the water is nice and soapy, squeeze your blender in the water repeatedly until everything comes out. You might have to change the water and/or add more soap, depending on how dirty it is.
When it looks and feels like everything is out, give it a rinse. I squeezed mine for a little bit under the water until there wasn’t any soap left in it.
Pop that sucker back in the bowl and stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds. I know it sounds weird but it kills all the bacteria that accumulated in your blender while you were using it. Pull it out and now it is all clean!
